Today my dad went on an excited rant about how much he loves American Pie because its writers have explicitly stated that it was a male-feminist response to Porky’s. He cited the library scene in American Pie, and called Porky’s “terribly misogynistic.”

My dad is also has been a member of NOW since the 1970s.

I love my dad, and who I am makes a lot of sense.
