I cannot stop thinking about the new legislature passed in Virginia this week. I brought the issue up to a well meaning friend who said, “what does it matter? Aren’t the abortions they’re trying to get invasive too?”

I was dumbstruck. I had no idea how to respond, and my loss of words caused a shift in the conversation.

This stuck with me, and I sat and stewed for days. Despite the outcry from outraged people everywhere, my exact reason for being upset has not been mentioned in any traditional media.

It does not matter what your views on arbortion are; no one but truely, deeply anti-women lawmakers and the crimminally perverse could see justice in this new law. Here’s why:

Virginia wants to forcibly penetrate women. In my book, that’s called rape.
